Dubai Police has a new hotline number for non-emergency calls and questions. The new hotline number is 901. Of the 2 million calls received to 999 in 2010 only 455,048 were actual emergencies. Dubai Police is hoping that people would think whether the reason they are calling is a real emergency or not before dialing 999.
